To date, HCI researchers have had no support on signaling their paper's relevance to AI, esp. when that connection is tenuous at best. We introduce a systematic framework to ensure LLMs are mentioned at every stage of paper reporting—from framing, to evaluation, to implications.

Each paradigm has concrete implications for how we design interactions, structure sensory feedback, and architect adaptive systems.
We raise more questions than we answer. We're hoping for a real conversation about where the field orients next and how to do it. (5/6)
#CHI2024 😇Have you ever wondered how blind people get help from nearby strangers? Or, as a sighted individual, have you hesitated about when and how to assist a blind stranger? In a public environment with mixed abilities, social and communication barriers exist for both (1/8)
Technological design should not only serve people with disabilities but also be integrated with the interdependent environment as a whole.
