53kg on the left 70kg on the right.

I knew I gained weight, seeing it like this however sucks on another level.

I have never been this disgusted.

I'm genuinely curious as to how my personal fear of weight gain is equal to fatphobia.

My fear is rooted in looking desirable(ass/tits curves) bc I've been sa'd specifically bc of my body.

@cryingcalories2 Yes that's what I've been thinking about as well. It's saddening to see that a huge amount of teenagers are also dealing with this. I guess it seems like there is "more" because of social media? Bc we are able to share easily since we can "hide" our identity?

@lav3nderbonez I'm confused about this. My first language isn't English, where I'm from fatphobia "doesn't" exist, as in, no one mentions it and we don't even have a word for it. At least I've never noticed it being a thing. I feel this whole debate is more common in US, the west in general?

Like looking older used to be in, it was a huge thing. 16yo girls looked like 24yo women.

Now I'm seeing a lot more 21yo women looking like 16yo girls.

The clothing/style, the gestures and the makeup. A bit childlike tbh.

Could this be bc of covid? They didn't get to be teens?
