I thought these ants were simply moving in a line… until I noticed what every single one of them was carrying. 🐜😳
I came across them moving in an amazing, organized way, so I started recording.
About 10–15 minutes later, they were still following the same path, almost as if they were travelling on a tiny road.
But what caught my attention was that each ant was carrying something in its mouth.
Out of curiosity, I got closer and stopped one of them. I took away what she was carrying.
What happened next surprised me.
She refused to leave.
She kept searching restlessly, going back and forth, as if she was desperately looking for what I had taken.
Seeing her like that, I immediately regretted taking it.
I eventually realized that what I thought was just a tiny object meant something very important to her.
Watch closely and tell me what you think these ants were carrying. 🐜👇
My family has a WhatsApp group where everyone shares important news.
One morning, my sister posted:
“Please, nobody should tell Dad about this yet.”
I asked what happened.
She said she had lost her job.
Everyone started sending messages.
“Don’t worry.”
“You’ll find another one.”
“Stay strong.”
I called her privately.
“How long have you been unemployed?”
She said, “Almost four months.”
I was shocked.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
She laughed.
“Because I knew you’d worry.”
I told her I could help with some bills.
She refused.
Three weeks later, Dad sent a message in the family group.
And the reason he stopped me was, "You've got the same look the guy from accounting had the morning we had to carry him out on a stretcher last month."
When I heard that, four hours of sleep a night for two straight weeks, it hit differently. My whole body just stopped moving for a second.
I started leaving the office by 7pm, no exceptions. On the nights work piles up anyway, my new rule is one task finished, then home, the rest waits until morning. Midnight finishes, once a regular thing, haven't happened once since.
Last winter, I started staying at the office until nearly midnight every night, skipping weekends, and running on maybe four hours of sleep, and I finished the entire quarterly report two weeks early. I was feeling on top of the world.
That morning, at the elevator in my building, one of the overnight security guards stopped me. He'd worked that building for over a decade, the kind of guy who'd called paramedics more than once for people who collapsed in the lobby.
"Don't go up today."....
At her boyfriend's apartment, where they were cooking dinner together for the first time, three weeks into dating. As they stood at the stove, she suddenly said, "Actually, can we just stop, I think I'm going to mess this up and ruin it."
He turned off the burner and the first thing he said was, "Then let's just order Thai food instead." He was already pulling up the delivery app on his phone.
"...You're not annoyed?"
"Not even a little. I'm just hungry. Pad thai or curry?"...
My younger brother got paid ₦650,000 on the 27th of last month. His first real salary.
Yesterday morning, his wife of six months posted a new wig, a new iPhone, and a cake that said “soft life loading.”
By evening, he called me and said, “I don’t know who is funding my wife’s lifestyle, because obviously it is not me and my ₦650,000.”
He asked me if he could ask her or check her phone.
I told him to just ask her, and also check her phone and bank app before he sleeps in that house again.
A man who is afraid to check his own wife’s phone is not married; he’s living with a stranger.
My sisters and I contributed ₦6 million each to send our only brother to the UK.
Since he left, he has never sent any of us money or gifts.
Last Christmas, our eldest sister told him, “You’re settled now. It’s time to bring another sibling over.”
He replied, “I’m bringing my girlfriend first. I need to start my own family.”
My sister insisted.
He asked for her account number and sent her ₦6 million.
Then he texted:
“I’ll settle the others later.”
I gave my boyfriend a $480 pair of running shoes for his birthday, and all I got back was a paper cup with a stick in it. I was kind of embarrassed.
“Those shoes were $480.”
“I know.”
“I picked up extra shifts for them.”
“I know.”
“So what did this cost?”
“I’m not saying.”
It was our second year together.
His birthday was in May. He’d been running in the same worn-out pair since college.
When he opened the box, he went quiet and hugged me.
My birthday was in October.
He handed me a paper coffee cup with dirt in it.
There was a thin little stick poking out of the top.
A strip of masking tape on the side read “water on Sundays.”
“Happy birthday.”
“Thanks.”
“You don’t like it.”
“No, I love it.”
It was a lie.
I put it on the windowsill and forgot about it.
That night I called my cousin.
“$480 shoes for him, and I got a cup of dirt.”
“Is it a plant?”
“It’s a stick.”
“Maybe it grows.”
“Maybe.”
The cup sat there for weeks.
Sometimes I watered it. Sometimes I didn’t.
Then one night we had a small fight.
I don’t even remember why.
I said it anyway.
“You could’ve at least gotten me something real.”
He went quiet.
“Did you water it?”
“It’s a stick.”
“Did you water it?”
