Her body is the abode of various foul substances such as feces, urine, pus, and filth. This blood-stained and impure body is never truly pure.

At the time of creation, Brahmā created this illusory woman for deceitful people. For men who desire liberation, she acts as poison.

Therefore, those who seek mokṣa do not even wish to look upon her."O Nārada! Having spoken thus to Śaṅkhacūḍa, Tulsi fell silent. Then Śaṅkhacūḍa laughed and began to speak.

A woman appears exceedingly sweet outwardly, but she always remains intoxicated with pride. She is the destroyer of a man. She is like a vessel completely filled with poison, upon the mouth of which nectar has been smeared.

A woman's heart is as sharp as the edge of a knife, yet outwardly she always speaks sweet words.

A woman is always intent only upon accomplishing her own purpose. She remains under the control of her husband only for the accomplishment of her own objective; otherwise, she is one who never remains under anyone's control.

A woman's heart remains exceedingly corrupt, while from her face and eyes there always shines the appearance of happiness.

The Śrutis and the Purāṇas describe the character of those women as exceedingly corrupt. Leaving aside a person of evil thoughts, what learned and intelligent man could place his trust in them?

Who is their enemy, and who is their friend? They constantly desire ever-new men. Upon seeing any man who is handsome and adorned in fine attire, they begin to desire him inwardly, within their own minds.

Outwardly, they carefully display their chastity for the sake of securing their own welfare, but in reality they are always consumed by sexual desire. Those women, who captivate the minds of others, are the very supporting pillars of Kāma (the god of lust and desire).

Outwardly, through deceit—pretending to be free from sensual desire—they cause their lover to suffer, yet within their minds they cherish the longing for sexual union. Externally, they appear exceedingly modest, but in private they laugh, joke, and engage in playful intimacy with their lover.

When the proper opportunity for sexual union is not obtained, a proud woman becomes angry and begins to quarrel. A woman remains pleased when she enjoys sexual intercourse according to her desire, but she becomes unhappy when sexual intercourse is scant or insufficient.

As the embodiment of delusion (Moha), a woman is an obstacle on the path of austerity like a crossbar placed across a doorway, and an obstruction at the gate of liberation like a closed door.

She is one who hinders devotion to the Supreme Lord, and she is a casket containing every kind of Māyā (illusion).

She is like a chain for keeping beings forever bound within the prison of worldly existence.

A woman is said to be of the nature of magical illusion (Indrajāla) and false like a dream.

A woman possesses outward beauty, but her internal organs are exceedingly vile.

A woman's body is the abode of feces, urine, pus, and other impurities; it is filled with filth, pervaded by the defect of foul odor, stained with blood, and impure.

In ancient times, Brahmā created woman as the embodiment of Māyā for deceitful men, as the embodiment of poison for those who seek liberation (mumukṣus), and as an invisible entity for those who desire her.

O Nārada! After saying this to Śaṅkhacūḍa, Tulsi became silent. Then Śaṅkhacūḍa smiled and began to speak.
