Watching a #CNA documentary on Nepal’s #Maoist insurgency. Strange how different it feels now, knowing what we do about India’s and the UN’s quiet roles in shaping that narrative. The Nepali people (and much of the world) were duped in the name of “democracy” and “power to the people,” when in reality it served a select few to grab power and wealth through corruption.
