A petition has been launched for one of England’s biggest exam boards to re-mark a question from its 2025 GCSE maths paper after a complaint was upheld by Ofqual

After 6+ months of back & forth with OCR over last summer’s GCSE maths exams, this complaint has been upheld by Ofqual. It’s not enough. OCR must go further & re-mark. Many students have lost out! @Miss_Snuffy you’ll be very interested! https://t.co/Py41psYZ5T
@gcsemathstutor After a long back & forth with OCR and eventually a complaint to Ofqual that was upheld.
OCR has had a massive issue with bounds that they are burying rather than being honest with schools and the affected candidates.
1000 students last year deserve a higher grade! DM me.
@LaSalleEd This is after a long back & forth with OCR and eventually a complaint to Ofqual that they upheld!
OCR have written & marked bounds questions that allowed one thing one year and then not the following!
There is still an issue with June 2025!
DM for more information.
@mathsjem And I’ll share all the back and forth documentation and Ofqual’s letter. OCR have changed what’s required without telling centres! Which meant students last year had no idea that a previously accepted answer wouldn’t be allowed.
@mrbartonmaths This follows a long battle we have had with OCR and eventually Ofqual upholding the complaint.
There is still an issue with June 2025.

@mathsjem@missradders OCR have just posted this about Bounds. They are burying a massive inconsistency!
It follows a long complaint that we have had with them about the topic that eventually went to Ofqual.
Ofqual upheld the complaint
There is still an issue with June 2025. DM for more info.
@MathsNot@CottinghamAmber@MathsNot it’s Brett here, we used to work with one another at Edexcel. I’ve got something I would love to share with you about a problem with OCR Maths. Is there a way to Direct Message you, I think you and the maths community would be genuinely interested.
