@snowmantheBapy @destinytrack If I had to guess, it’s part of them trying to bring the entire sandbox closer in line to each other and normalize performances. It may be too much of an outlier in their eyes.

@dasiennn It is DEFINITELY the barrier to entry. As someone who’s trying to catch up with where my friends are at, it’s like “Oh, cool! I’m sure I’ll get the hype once I get through 100+ hours of story to get to that point!”

@ltzShadow Have a new job that demands a lot of my time, and the precious time I do have to play games doesn’t feel respected when I’m on D2. Unnecessary time-gating to get chase loot/craftables, story pacing has been weird with Lightfall, and other games are performing better currently.

@Benjjjyy @Erianas_Vow Have you ever seen maplestory? It’s hit or miss, but they’ll usually give players a compensation for extended downtimes.
Maple has more freedom to give items out with its gacha game set up, but some bright dust seems like a low to no-cost way to lessen the blow for players.
