@AnvinaGabitova@JohanSeongg@qingtongshidai1@Megatron_ron The tokamak was invented by the Soviets. Every major country has tried, but it's so hard that after decades we still have no working reactor – hence the joke "fusion is always 50 years away." ITER in France is struggling, so China is going its own way.
@AnvinaGabitova@JohanSeongg@qingtongshidai1@Megatron_ron 100M degree plasma is held by magnetic fields,it never touches the reactor walls. In normal operation, the machine sees much lower heat,no damage. If it did touch the walls, the system is damaged, magnetic confinement lost, plasma would vanish instantly, no meltdown anyway.
@AnvinaGabitova@JohanSeongg@qingtongshidai1@Megatron_ron Fission is a chain reaction – fuel reacts on its own, but needs cooling to maintain control. If cooling fails, it accelerates and runs away (Chernobyl). Fusion requires 100 million degrees and magnetic confinement; any failure stops it instantly. physically, no Chernobyl meltdown
