Shenzhen hosted the world’s first URKL humanoid robot combat tournament. 🤖🥊
Powered by EngineAI (众擎机器人), a Shenzhen-based robotics company, T800 humanoid robots took center stage as teams from around the world brought their algorithms into the ring, where robots punched, blocked, recovered and competed in front of a live audience.
More than a competition, the event serves as a real-world proving ground for embodied AI, motion control and humanoid robotics.

BREAKING: FCT Minister Nyesom Wike flags off the construction of the Abuja City Walk project, a world-class mixed-use development modelled after Dubai’s iconic City Walk.
The project will create a vibrant, mixed-use urban hub and will feature a 450-metre skyscraper projected to become Africa’s tallest tower, as well as commercial, retail, medical, hospitality, institutional and luxury facilities when completed.
The development will also include a 13,000-seat indoor arena expected to become Nigeria’s largest indoor sports and entertainment venue, alongside an arts district with about 12,000 square metres of exhibition and performance space.
Other features include “The Living Ravine,” an ecological corridor built around a sustainable “Sponge District” concept that uses wetlands, swales, and green waterways for flood management, rainwater harvesting, and climate resilience.
The launch of the project was done by President Tinubu, who was represented by Vice President Shettima, while FCT Minister Nyesom Wike announced that all access roads to the project site have been completed by the FCT administration.

Let's talk about it. The real reason we stopped seeing Ghanaian actors in Nollywood.
- In the late 2000s, Ghanaian actors (Van Vicker, Majid Michel, Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari, etc) were some of Nollywood biggest stars. They easily passed off as Nigerians.
- Almost overnight, we stopped seeing them in Nollywood until we got used to their absence. Many assumed the Gha-geria collaboration faded naturally.
- But, behind the scenes, was one of the biggest entertainment conflicts in African pop culture history.
- The Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) reportedly introduced strict rules for foreign filmmakers.
- FIPAG said: Only 1 Nigerian movie released weekly, and Nigerian producers must deposit $10,000 before shooting... at the time, minimum wage was ₦5,500.
- According to Socrate Safo, then FIPAG PRO, the policies was to protect Ghanaians in the local industry because some Nigerian producers spent heavily on stars like while treating Ghanaian film crews unfairly.
- Enforcing the policies didn't go so well, In an interview, Jackie Appiah mentioned incidents where film equipment were reportedly seized during productions in Ghana.
- To adjust, Nigerian producers reduced shooting in Ghana and starring Ghanaian stars. That was the beginning of the end.
- Audiences across Africa never saw the divide the way industry executives did, to them, Nollywood and Ghanaian cinema meant unforgettable movies.
As a Muslim I never would have thought I would hear the adhan in an anime, they also brought up other things about Islam and I'm impressed at how well they portrayed it

@davido According to him, davido has politicised the whole Oyo kidnap saga and he's using it to gain relevance. Man said he shouldn't be revealing our internal plight for global relevance.
The goal is to be seen?
My submission ditches safe palettes for Sharp Colour Contrast. Inspired by busy Nigerian markets, this hero section uses extreme contrast to create instant visual friction. It’s assertive and unapologetically loud.
