“예전엔 어떻게든 바꿔보려 애썼다면, 지금은 받아들여야 하는 순간도 있다는 걸 알게 됐어요. 할 수 있는 만큼 최선을 다했다면 그 다음은 좀 믿고 가보자는 생각? ‘급류’도 그런 마음에서 출발한 곡이라 생각해요. 두렵지 않아서 흘러가는 게 아니라, 두려워도 계속 나아가는 용기!” 그렇게 애써 흘려 보낸 날들이 누군가에겐 오래 꺼내 들을 위로가 된다. 승민이 건넨 용기가 우리가 건널 밤에도 닿기를.

“In the past, I tried to change things however I could. Now, I’ve learned that there are moments you simply have to accept. If I’ve done everything I can, maybe the next step is to trust and keep going? I think ‘Into the Current’ began with that feeling, too. It’s the courage to keep moving, not because you’re unafraid, but even when you are!” The days he worked so hard to let go become songs someone else will return to, time and again. May the courage SEUNGMIN offers reach us, too, through the nights we have yet to cross.
