日本推理小说作家东野圭吾已于7月23日因大肠癌辞世，享寿68岁。

他1958年出生于大阪府，自1985年出版出道作《放学后》以来，至原定于2026年8月5日出版的最新作品《永远的记忆》为止，共创作106本著作。

东野圭吾以《嫌疑犯X的献身》、《白夜行》及《解忧杂货店》等作品闻名，多部小说被改编为电影及电视剧，在日本及海外都拥有广大读者群。

东野圭吾毕业于大阪府立大学电机工程系，曾在制造业担任工程师，并在工作期间展开写作生涯。

除了创作之外，他��积极参与文坛事务，曾于2009年至2013年担任日本推理作家协会理事长，并于2014年至2019年担任直木奖评审委员。
