I am enjoying Senegalese politics, feels like a chess game ♟️😁

So President Faye as you already know sacked his own PM Ousmane Sonko the same guy who basically handed him the presidency (I know everyone is holding unto that strongly). The "Diomaye is Sonko" duo that ran together? Yeah, that bromance is officially over 💀.

But here's the wild part: instead of fading away, Sonko is moving his pieces. His PASTEF party still controls parliament, so the Speaker just RESIGNED on Saturday to clear the runway for Sonko to take over the National Assembly himself.

Parliament's been called for Tuesday (May 26) to reinstate Sonko's old MP seat (suspended since 2022) and vote in a new Speaker

This is the interesting take below....

The man Faye just fired could end up running parliament and checking the president from the other side of the board. King vs. former kingmaker.
