@minacricket@YardenaKurulkar@karunanundy Little children, senior citizens in my lane, feed our streeties, they treasure each other. All it takes is a little awareness and education about coexistence. It is fear mongering such as yours that creates the hate, that prevents the feeding that results in the clashes.
@minacricket@karunanundy You really need to do some homework before you write. When street dogs are sterilised, vaccinated, fed and cared for by a humane society, they do not bite. They are friendly sentinels treasured by their community. Feed them and they sleep all day and guard your streets at night.
@minacricket@karunanundy Some morning wisdom for you: You say street dogs are a threat to children and seniors… but more than 60000 cases of child sexual abuse were reported in India in 2022. Do we round up all men and put them behind bars? No. We fix systems, educate, and act. @timesofindia@TOIOpinion
@minacricket@karunanundy I’m not justifying an attack…no one should ever face that. But shifting focus from failed systems to the voiceless only deepens the problem. Hold power accountable, not the powerless…

@minacricket@karunanundy I only call them a ‘threat’ since you insist on using the word so freely in your article. Perhaps, ‘human apathy creates uncontrollable conditions for street animal’. How does that sound?
@minacricket@karunanundy You’ve actually given your article its true title in that very line: “Street dogs are a threat to human lives, due to human apathy.” That’s the story that needed to be told….
@minacricket@karunanundy If that’s the piece, it doesn’t quite read that way. A passing mention of govt inaction isn’t the same as holding it accountable. The tone still blames the dogs more than the system, and that’s exactly what makes the article troubling and unfair…

@minacricket@karunanundy If you have indeed written more on government failure in this area, please do share those pieces. Many of us would genuinely like to read them…
@minacricket@karunanundy Every human life lost is tragic, but fear-driven writing shifts blame onto the voiceless instead of holding power accountable. It’s time to stop vilifying animals and start questioning the system.
