ACTUAL Halo fan. I also comment my opinion on matters I believe are stupid af. I say whatever tf I want, but most of the time, it's in general. 🤣 TDE fan.
Sony has until GTA VI to do something about Destiny 3... Otherwise, they are going to have people purposely buying an Xbox just to play it because they decided to kill Destiny 2 & Bungie, and those people are going to boycott... If they love money that bad... It would be smart.
I feel bad for Sony... People are going to see what a gaming community can really do when it really loves a gaming franchise, and they punish them by taking away a beloved company that has created multiplatform games that have made impact... Microsoft is sitting back watching.
Precisely. People paying $25 for all the expansions right now... They don't understand that each one came out $40 a pop. Not profitable, or mismanagement with money? But they don't wanna have that conversation. And Sony DEFINITELY doesn't.
"The biggest reply I've seen so far online every time someone brings up Destiny right now is: 'Well, if you wanted a Destiny 3, you should've paid for it, you should've bought more Destiny 2.'
And I'm like, you dumb motherfucker, we already paid for it. We paid for that shit. The Destiny community paid for ALL of that shit. They probably paid for Destiny 3 twice!
It's not our fault the money went elsewhere. It's not our fault it went to fucking Marathon. It's not our fault the money went to other incubation projects which, by the way, never came to fruition."

@AccordToBoxing@ChipGotIt_ Or... Just don't be weird around women? Is it that hard to not be a weirdo? Like smh it's people like you who ruin the outlook on men, just by the dumb shit y'all say sometimes.
@richdollaz Whole time he saying she ain't listening... But she told him she can't get her stuff without help. A gun don't make you a man. Putting your hands on a woman don't make you a man. And calling women a bitch don't make you a man, either. Mfs like this can die, I'll have no remorse.
Jynxzi says gaming is falling off because its becoming “too soft”
“when I was 9 years old I played BO2 hardcore Search & Destroy that would force you into game chat that had 43 year olds telling me they would b*ng my mom”
“Im sick of it, Im tired of the path gaming is heading”

Imagine if McDonald's cancelled the Big Mac and then told you that you had to eat nothing but Filet-O-Fish for a year if you wanted it back.
Same energy.
@Byrdman I do not believe you want D3. Halo lives on past Bungie. So can D3. I'm not playing Marathon even more so now that it is CONFIRMED the killer of D2. Why would anybody pick that game up for another franchises' sequel?
This morning has been hard. I sat in orbit, Lullaby started playing, and it hit me that this is it. I couldn’t help but just sit here and shed some tears while thinking about all of it. All of it.
Destiny is our game. It’s my game. The game I spent decades waiting to be created without knowing it. I took it for granted, almost like I thought it would be around forever. It’s so amazing in so many ways, how could it not be? How could this not continue?
From the feeling of “I need this” after the alpha of D1, the excitement of crawling through the Last City and defending the original Tower in the opening act of D2. All of the hype and mystery of the expansions over the years. Some examples in no particular order being exploring Europa and tolerating Clovis, navigating the web of mind games from Savathun, fighting alongside Cloud Striders on Neptune, rediscovering Titan and helping Sloane, taking down the Witness, meeting and working with Lodi, relieving Bael of one of his hands, having to say goodbye to Cayde (twice). The list goes on. Everything within, in between, before and since.
I took time off of it here and there, confident that it’ll always be there when I wanted to come back to it, and I always did. Destiny helped me through some dark times in my life, helped distract me from some terrible things happening around me years ago. On the flip, it was something I regularly looked forward to playing, helped punctuate positive moments. Helped connect me with people. The time I’ve spent in this universe has been more valuable to me than I can put into words, and I’m genuinely thankful to every developer that ever worked on this wonderful experience. I’m also grieving because this may be the end of it, and I’m defiant about that. I refuse to accept it, though I may have to, eventually.
I’m going to continue playing Destiny 2 for as long as the lights stay on. I’m going to continue fighting for the future of this universe. I’ve felt heavy today with these thoughts, but I owe it to myself and the rest of the community to hold the line.
Thank you @DestinyTheGame, thank you @Destiny2Team. For everything.

I'm not believing anybody that formerly were part of anything. Look at Marty from Halo... Trashing the new Halo. Fuck them mfs. They don't love the games they love the companies they worked for.
Former Bungie Destiny CM just said the quiet part out loud:
SUPPORTING MARATHON IS YHE BEST SHOT AT KEEPING BUNGIE AND FUTURE PROJECTS ALIVE [Destiny 3] RIGHT NOW.
“Half the community is going to hate me for saying this, but the only way to keep Bungie alive right now is to support Marathon.”
Please read her thread but I’ll summarize below. She immediately cleared up that Marathon was never designed to pull Destiny numbers.
Marathon is an extraction shooter in the Tarkov/Arc Raiders genre, a completely different target audience with some natural overlap from the huge Destiny player base.
Expecting it to perform like a live-service looter-shooter is missing the point entirely.
Liana pushed back on the “just let Bungie die” takes and the “I’m never touching Marathon” crowd.
She reminded everyone that there are real developers behind the name, passionate people who didn’t make the big corporate decisions.
She talked about the nuance of the acquisition, how Bungie’s value to Sony isn’t only Marathon, and how the studio could potentially shift into more of an expertise/service role across Sony if needed.
Very cool to see was that a Destiny player asked her for reassurance to give them her word with a hand on her heart that playing Marathon actually helps, she replied with a photo hand over her heart, shown below.
Whether you love Destiny, are still excited for Marathon like me and the rest of the community, or are somewhere in between, her thread is worth reading.
It’s real, emotional, and highlights why player support for Bungie’s current projects actually matters for the future of the studio and the people who work there.
Marathon is amazing. Season 2 Delivered so well (outside of the servers being ehh) and the community is still so passionate.
To the @DestinyTheGame crowd we love you! I love Destiny, I love Marathon, I still play Halo for god sakes.
And. I LOVE BUNGIE.
SO supporting Marathon might be the best way to keep Bungie (and whatever comes next) alive.
What do you think? Will you Destiny players give Marathon a/another shot? @Aztecross ?

If Asha were to decide to steal the Destiny 2 devs, and make a D3 while the other half are working on Marathon... It would be unprecedented. Exclusives are cool... But if you really wanna compete with PlayStation, that'll be the way to do it. You want Xbox sales? @asha_shar
I'm just not investing my life into Marathon the way I have since the first Halo. I can't do it. That's too much time to wait for a Destiny 3. If supporting Marathon is really the only way to obtain such an iconic sequel, I still don't think anybody will believe it. Hope is lost.
I already gave up on Bungie the minute they gave up on Halo and created Destiny. The same disdain I had then, is happening now for me. I will NEVER play Marathon. It's not my cup of tea. But I will gladly bring as many friends to D2 as possible. It's in a great state. 🤷🏾♂️
Former Bungie community manager Liana Ruppert discussed criticism of Marathon and comparisons to Destiny 2.
She said supporting Marathon is “the only path forward right now” for fans wanting future projects, including a possible Destiny 3.
She said people are “comparing apples to oranges” when using Destiny 2’s player numbers to judge Marathon, as it is an extraction shooter for a smaller audience, similar to Escape from Tarkov.
Destiny players are mad and said they don't want to buy or play a game just to support Bungie.
