I've also noticed more ads on my TikTok page recently. I do think its good that they are clearly labeled with "Sponsored" or Ad tags and the fact I can easily skip them. But I do wonder if TikTok will push for a "no-skip" ad feature like YouTube #BeachSMC

Instagram promotes user privacy by possibly allowing users to hide their like activity from the public. I don't see much harm in this, but it could allow users to like posts that may be controversial to their followers, though no one would know. #BeachSMC

This TikTok trend of drinking borax is extremely dangerous and harmful, especially considering that a majority of TikTok users are young children and teens that could be easily influenced by these "trends". #BeachSMC

@aye_meeS I definitely agree. The article also mentions how TikTok trends not only influence people online but also come to life. I’ve personally seen this while shopping in Barnes and Noble and seeing a whole table dedicated to “BookTok”, or books that are widely talked about on the app.
