💢 O seeker of knowledge, your lamp has been increased, so rejoice. 💢
■ If you want:
✦ That Allah may benefit through your daʿwah (call),
✦ And blesses you in your khutbahs and lectures,
✦ And grants you high standing, influence, and acceptance
in your life and after your death:
■ Then let your daʿwah (call) be for Allah, by Allah, and upon Allah.
✦ (for Allah):
Sincerity for His Noble Face, without seeking worldly gain, fame, or status.
✦ (by Allah):
Seeking His help and humbling yourself in reliance upon Him.
✦ (upon Allah):
Relying upon Him alone, without turning to other than Him.
■ While taking the means and carefully following the guidance of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
■ So your entire aim is:
✦ The pleasure of Allah,
✦ Benefiting the servants of Allah,
✦ And conveying the call of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
■ So if you are like that, then rejoice,
✦ For you—by Allah—are among the followers of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
■ Allah, the Most High, said:
✦ “Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): ‘This is my way; I invite unto Allah with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me… And Glorified and Exalted be Allah above all that they associate as partners with Him. And I am not of the Mushrikun (polytheists).’”
[Surah Yusuf 12:108]
And Allah did not benefit our righteous predecessors except that they were like that.

In Nawāsikh al-Quran by Ibn al-Jawzī [2/395]
From Abū Maysarah Amr ibn Shurahbīl, who said:
“There is nothing abrogated (mansūkh) in Sūrat al-Maidah.”
And from Ibn Awn, who said:
“I asked al-Ḥasan: ‘Has anything in Sūrat al-Maidah been abrogated?’
He replied: ‘No.’”
Then Ibn al-Jawzī said:
“However, the majority of scholars held that there is some abrogation in Sūrat al-Maidah, and we shall mention that.”
End quote.
Ibn al-Uthaymeen (rahimahu’Allah) said:
“And it has preceded that there is no abrogation in Sūrat al-Maidah; rather, all of it is muḥkam, because it was among the last of what was revealed. Although some scholars have said that parts of it are abrogated, this is not correct. Any person who claims that any text from the Quran or the Sunnah is abrogated must provide proof.”

Sheikh al-Allāmah Muqbil ibn Hādī al-Wādi‘ī rahimahu’Allah said:
“We are defenders of the Sunnah, not of ourselves.
We and our honor are a sacrifice for the Sunnah. We have no time to defend ourselves, but when it comes to the Sunnah, even if we must bite down with our molar teeth, we will not allow anyone to speak against the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”

Narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Indeed, gentleness is not found in anything except that it beautifies it, and it is not removed from anything except that it disgraces it.”
[Sahih Muslim]
And gentleness is softness in speech and beauty in action, and it is the shortest path to opening hearts and winning people over.
[Al-Sharh al-Muyassar]
The Tabiʿi Urwah ibn al-Zubayr (rahimahullah) said:
“Gentleness is the head of wisdom.”

Sheikh al-Allāmah Salih Al-Luhaydan rahimahu’Allah said:
“It is befitting for the Muslim to be keen on acquiring knowledge.
However, the way to attain it is not that a person comes and spreads out his cloak and thinks that if he gathers up this cloak, he will be filled with abundant knowledge.
Rather, knowledge requires eagerness, seriousness, and diligent effort.”

Ibn Abbas and Anas ibn Malik may Allah be pleased with them both said:
“Indeed, for a good deed there is a light in the heart, beauty on the face, strength in the body, expansiveness in provision, and love in the hearts of creation. And indeed, for a sin there is darkness in the heart, ugliness on the face, weakness in the body, decrease in provision, and hatred in the hearts of creation.”
