Building for @hellominds_ makes me rethink my entire approach of writing prompts. I keep coming back to my academic specialty- phonology, the study of sounds in languages. It's no longer rule-based (how) but constraint-based (what & why).
Interestingly, a debate we had today with colleagues on the age-old GIF vs GIF pronunciation perfectly illustrates rule-driven vs constraint-driven thinking.
One important theory in phonology is called Optimality Theory, which assumes there are no explicit rules. Instead, outputs emerge from ranked, competing constraints rather than a single fixed rule.
I found it very similar to prompt vs context engineering.
In prompt engineering, it's more rule-driven & explicit: "g" becomes /dʒ/ (soft g) before /ɪ/ like "gin" ("g" changes to soft g, when it occurs before a high front vowel like /ɪ/) ➡️ "jif"
In context engineering, it's constraint-driven, ranked by constraints:
(1) visually similar words with hard g like "gift",
(2) list of high frequency words as exception to the soft g rule,
(3) most people in your social circle pronounce it with a hard /g/, influenced by accent & dialect
➡️ "gif"
So now when I'm designing a Mind, I focus more on the context & constraints, instead of how exactly it should produce the output.
PS: Steve Wilhite, creator of the Graphics Interchange Format (GIF), said it’s pronounced “jif.”
We at Animoca Brands are proud to have contributed to the World Economic Forum (@wef)'s 2026 Technology Convergence Report.
Our chief business officer @alanlau999 joined an exceptional group of global innovators, technologists, and industry leaders to shape one of this year's most forward-looking publications on converging technologies and their competitive advantage.
The report explores how eight powerful technology domains, from AI and robotics to engineering biology and next-generation energy, are combining to create step-change capabilities that no single innovation could achieve alone. Crucially, it makes clear that the organizations winning this race are not simply the most technically advanced, but the most ready to integrate, orchestrate, and scale.
At Animoca Brands, this resonates deeply. We have always believed that the future belongs to those who build ecosystems, not just products, and that orchestrating people, partnerships, and platforms is where durable value is created.
Congratulations to Connie, the @wef, and @Capgemini on this important body of work. We are honored to have played a part in it! #WEF26

Proud to share that we’re kickstarting an investment programme from @animocabrands ⚒️
Applications are now open for early-stage teams that demonstrate a clear product thesis, strong execution capability, and a practical path to building deployable products and scalable businesses.
The programme is designed to support impactful and innovative applications across any vertical, from gaming or finance to productivity or social, provided they leverage Minds as a core product layer.

Our goal is to unlock the full potential of agentic AI with this $10m investment program for anyone building incredible stuff with @hellominds_ check it out at https://t.co/4PDjdboxyK
Identity is the layer underneath everything: payments, loyalty, reputation, ownership. Get it wrong, and nothing on top scales.
Most attempts to solve it fail for the same reasons: locked to a single chain, locked to a single app, or built in a way that forces users to hand their data over to platforms.
Moca Network is built differently:
— AIR Kit and Moca Chain are chain-agnostic by design, so credentials move with the user
— Powered by zkProofs, so verification doesn't require disclosure
— A dedicated L1 (Moca Chain) purpose-built for identity, not retrofitted
— Integrations with SK Planet (OK Cashbag), Biletinial, and more
Today at 1400 UTC, @tylerdurden88 joins the "Blockchain Won't Save the World podcast" to walk through:
— Why is identity infrastructure harder to build than people assume
— What's already live, and what users can do with it today
— The road to Moca Chain mainnet in 2026
— What's still missing before identity reaches mainstream adoption

The biggest shift in tech right now is autonomous agents!
Animoca Brands Portfolio Day is back and this time, we’re tackling the trend of trends: the rise of the Agentic Web.
Our executive chairman and co-founder @ysiu will kick things off by sharing his vision on what it really takes to build when agents become new economic actors and contributors.
Join us on April 30 at 9am CEST: https://t.co/45tlI8YoRm
NUVA Digital, the software development company behind the RWA marketplace @NUVAFinance developed by us and @NuvaLabs, today announced the successful closing of a US$5.2 million fundraising seed round led by Morgan Creek Digital (@DigitalCurrents).
NUVA is the non-custodial, unified distribution layer for high-quality real-world asset (RWA) vaults. It offers users one-click access, enabling them to deposit stablecoins to mint liquid, composable tokens that provide exposure to RWAs.

Congratulations & awesome to see! .@AdamWeitsman has not only been a massive supporter of @yugalabs but the broader NFT ecosystem he is also the owner of the 1/1 Monitor Moca @Moca_Network and @worldofwomenxyz@MeebitsNFTs + more grails! The NFT world is blessed to have you!
Breaking news! Congratulations to @yatsiu and our portfolio company, Animoca Brands x Standard Chartered x HKT, one of two granted by Hong Kong Monetary Authorities with a regulated stablecoin license, out of 36 applicants!

LOL this is crazy @nikitabier, my Mom has bad eyesight at 80+ and this is genuinely more like an IQ test than a simple captcha to verify a human. I get you need to fight bots but just do KYC or some proof of personhood thing like @Humanityprot@Moca_Network or whatever
Either you run the day or the day runs you.
With Animoca Minds, your AI agent can connect to Google Calendar and autonomously manage your schedule, including meetings, events, and reminders, without you lifting a finger.
This is agentic AI: tools that think, act, and execute for you.
Here’s how to get started in simple steps ↓
What if the app you use every day lets you truly own your identity, data, and digital assets?
That’s the vision behind @telegram and @ton_blockchain:
a platform designed for digital freedom at a billion-user scale.
@animocaresearch just published a deep dive on how this model works. Check it out.
The @AnimocaMinds team has been experimenting around how to best convey the message that many AI Agents (i.e. Animoca Minds) can really help every aspect of your life and do it easily. What do you think, how could we improve this?
Imagine 10 AI agents talking, debating, correcting, and building together.
Now imagine doing that without being an engineer.
That’s the world we’re building with @AnimocaMinds .
A market Mind. A research Mind. A strategy Mind.
A content Mind.
Together, they act like a team, not a tool.
As @ysiu mentions, the true promise of AI isn’t one model that does everything.
It’s many Minds that operate like an organization and a team.
"Each person the team has a role, a context, a history with you."

Enjoyed the talk with @jack_gk from our investment in @colossal to the future of the agentic web with @AnimocaMinds@Mocaverse_xyz and experiencing 1984 in 1984 😅 and much more!
Happy Birthday @Mocaverse_xyz@Moca_Network to celebrate I bought 23 Mocaverse NFTs mostly on @opensea for some next stage campaigns and developments with @AnimocaMinds. A big part of the incredible potential for Digital Identity is Agentic!
