🇭🇺 The Anti-Migration Pact Protests Against Magyar Péter.

A demonstration by Sovereignist forces was coordinated by both the Fidesz and Mi Hazánk parties on Friday.

The demonstration was over the Implementation of the EU Migration Pact. Of which roughly 2,000-5,000 people participated.

Hungary held a referendum in 2016, denying illegal migration to be allowed in Hungary. Which overwhelmingly people voted for.

Although Magyar Péter has openly stated to be against housing illegal migrants, he held NO answers on what he will do when the Migration Pact is implemented to start on June 12th.

Overall, this was a smaller scale political demonstration which in all cases should NOT have blown up in Hungary's media on this scale.

Magyar Péter's open taunting of the demonstrators made this protest blow up in Hungary's media however.

It has in effect seriously diminished his image of some kind of unity in Hungary. These are the first protests against Magyar Péter, which have already begun roughly 1 month into leadership.

This sets a precedent for larger protests into the future. As even now, nothing is known for sure what Magyar Péter will be doing as he simply does NOT state it.

Many public figures in Hungary that have supported him have also pointed it out and criticized him for this.

The last month has been about taunting and still seemingly campaigning post-Elections against Sovereignist forces in Hungary.

Instead of leadership and solutions, he is portraying further division in the country.

The focus being on delivery over substance.

This is fine, but is sad to see others picking up this nonsensical humour which devalues material truths.

Irony poisoning by the West with everything being layered in sarcasm erodes serious discourse.

Many questions are still unanswered, and this list is still due to change in the next couple months.

Things are still uncertain. There is also a witch-hunt in a way at least in the media against the former Fidesz Government which is taking near all the attention in Hungary.

The humour is funny. The question is how appropriate it is to make videos like this when leading a Nation.

Hungary really voted out Orbán Viktor from a place of privilege.

We'll see just how much the humour and dancing will bite back when difficult decisions will be made leading to his party's inevitable drop in popularity.

The honeymoon phase is already wearing off for many as Magyar Péter increasingly is not starting to 'Govern and fix the problems' he blamed Orbán for years.

Instead he's still on a smear campaign to discredit the previous Government when Magyar already won a 2/3rd majority.

Everyone knows, in reality. That's all he can do. He can continue spouting about EU money which in large part won't have a big effect on Hungary's economy.

The problems the country faced won't be solved by mitigating the salaries of some politicians either.

That doesn't fix the budget, these are symbolic in real terms this is NOT leadership.

The reality is all of Europe is in recession. All the problems that Orbán was blamed for can be found in any Western country.

In many ways, those countries are worse off. The only pro to these Western countries is they still boast high salaries comparatively to Hungary.

Which again, is not a problem of Orbán Viktor nor can this be blamed on him. Western countries didn't suffer the devastation Hungary had through two world wars, and communism the last Century alone.

Even prior the last century Hungary has been a war-zone conflicted Nation in Europe throughout most its history. We didn't benefit from Colonialism or have legacy wealth carried over from this period compared to Western Europe.

When Hungarians speak of "catching up" to Austria for example. That is a good joke. Learn the history, just how much wealth Austria extracted from the Kingdom of Hungary.

Austria was barely hit in both WW1 and WW2. They have about 100% of the Austrian provinces outside of a small piece of Tyrol. Financial and physical devastation was minimal.

Hungary from WW1 entered another immediately for its survival which led to the physical looting of any wealth in the Nation. From territory to 100% of its gold reserves, 1/3rd of its population etc. Romanians even stole the Train rolling stock in this period.

Recovery was made through 1920s-1939 despite all this through depression and economic stagnation. Upon WW2 our Nation again was destroyed. Our Capital blasted to bits with again another million Hungarians perishing.

Then 10 years after 1956, resulting in another mass exodus from Hungary and harsh repression. Then following another 35 years of anti-Hungarian communism.

And then the 'compatriots' ask, when we will catch up to Austria? History is linear, things that happened in the past have an affect on today.
