What’s my allegiance? I recently was asked: I speak out so much about ccp China. How would I define my allegiance as an Chinese? The question reverberates in my mind. My answer: I don’t have allegiance to China. I feel it in my bone that I’m a Shanghainese and I’m a Hong Konger. I’m born in Shanghai. It’s such an unique city: the first international city of China, before CCP. Same with Hong Kong. Since 1949, HK is the true inheritor of Shanghai spirit - THE most international city of China.
