Marvel should always be rereleasing their movies in theaters tbh.
Like for example, if they did a tenth anniversary screening of Captain America: The Winter Soldier for a weekend, they'd make bank.
So many people missed the opportunity to see those movies on the big screen.
Yup, racism had nothing to do with their cancellation. They all fell victim to circumstances.
Blade: Mahershala Ali approached Kevin Feige about becoming Blade, and they instantly gave it the Greenlight. It was 2019, and Mahershala, I believe, was 45. But guess what happened after the announcement?
That's right, COVID and everything was locked down. Then guess what else happened after that? Yes, the writers' strike began, and it also affected Blade's scripting phase. By the time that was settled, Blade had already lost a director because of creative differences. Then Mahershala brought on a director he knew personally.
That director dropped out due to creative differences, and the script was a complete mess. Then there were talks that they weren't going to make it about Blade, but about his daughter, who would replace him. This was during the M-SHE-U era, when everything was female-centric and would replace all the male leads.
They were trying to force something that wasn't supposed to be. It's now 2026, and Mahershala Ali is in his 50s. The return on investment isn't worth it, especially when these superhero film actors are expected to run with it for 10 to 20 years as these characters.
Don Cheadle was one of the worst castings for War Machine. I wish they had cast Michael Jai White instead. I don't see a leading man for a Marvel movie with Don Cheadle. I wouldn't see it, even if it wasn't canceled.
Monica Ranbo, and her potential as Captain Marvel, would have been dogshit. The Marvels bombed at the box office, so a Monica Ranbo series would have been poison. They would have been better used as a cameo or as part of the cast in a Movie or series.
Ironheart was complete dogshit, and this one leaned heavily into wokeness. Marvel knew it was dogshit because the project was already completed, and they held it for two years. I have to remind you that Marvel was already in decline at this time because of the poor quality of these shows.
They knew releasing Ironheart would add to the problem they were already experiencing. Guess what? They were right because that series bombed. Some of you like it only because it has Black leads, not because of the show's quality. Which means race matters to you more than the substance itself.
I dunno why Luke Cage is on the list. Luke Cage was affected, like the other shows, by Netflix and Marvel disagreements at the time.
Wonder Man isn't even Wonder Man. He was not only race-swapped, but this is also a completely different character altogether. So, fans of the real Wonder Man instantly turned away from this.
You have to understand, despite Wonder Man getting picked up for a season 2. Marvel had already begun shifting their strategy moving forward. They claimed to be returning to Quality over Quantity. The Marvel TV series had done more harm to the brand than anything else.
The MCU movies were simple. You go to the movies once or twice a year to watch an epic story. You discuss it all year until the next film. That generates hype.
Creating the TV series made it feel more like homework, and the quality dropped. It doesn't help that Marvel was in their woke phase during this time period. The message was more important than the story.
Since they want to return to quality, that means they are now cutting their losses, which are the TV series and other projects. It just so happened that the black lead projects fell into that group to get chopped. We can't ignore that She-Hulk season 2 was dropped too. So this isn't a racism issue here.
None of these projects would be a good return on investment if they decide to push forward with them. The proof is in all of the dogshit they released throughout the years.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day was a $2 billion success, which convinced Marvel they needed to return to the formula.
That meant cutting all the projects they knew wouldn't benefit them.
Everything in life is hard.
It’s hard to be healthy. It’s harder to be unhealthy.
It’s hard to build wealth. It’s harder to live broke.
It’s hard to wake up early. It’s harder to live with regret.
It’s hard to invest. It’s harder to wonder “what if?” 20 years from now.
It’s hard to have discipline. It’s harder to deal with the consequences of not having it.
Choose your hard. The future version of you is counting on today’s decisions.
@NoLimitGains For some reason I had a feeling that it would go below $140 but is it a buy? Because based on my research they have a weak forward p/e and cash flow.
