Today, we reached a significant milestone by handing over the Declaration of Children and Youth on Climate Change in Mozambique for endorsement to the Country Director of Save the Children in Mozambique. This moment symbolises a powerful union in defense of a sustainable future.
CLIMATE CRISIS, A CHILDREN'S RIGHTS CRISIS.
At the First LCOY-Mozambique, which took place from 01 to 03 November 2023, we placed special emphasis on the participation of children in order to ensure that the future belongs to a mentally sustainable generation.
Establishment of Community Environmental Clubs for children and Ecological Charcoal Production Workshop for young women and householders in Lionde - Chokwe, as part of the YCAC Phase II Project, which has the technical and financial support of Save the Children in Mozambique.

MEETING OF THE GOVERNING BODIES OF THE YCAC-MOZ PLATFORM
The regular meeting was to share the ongoing projects and activities. Among the points presented were the First Local Conference of Children and Youth on Climate Change in Mozambique taking place from 18 to 20 October 2023.
Few young women are involved in negotiation process and decision-making spaces. This training is an opportunity to empower young women to negotiate on climate change.
