@PN19163@DrunkenNocturne@krishashok@NGKabra Brahmin households practice untouchability still, and one of they ways they do is that they don’t allow non veg to be cooked in the same kitchen as veg cause they think the non veg isn’t as pure as veg. Veg restaurants are frequented by Brahmins, most of whom have this practice.

@ambedkariteIND I'm still in disbelief that he considers kids criticizing him to be a mistake that he has to forgive rather than par for the course when you're a political figure. I mean, he's openly admitting his fascist mindset.
@nischoomaaf@omarali50@MaitreyaBhakal You don't have anything to argue against reservations, so further interaction is pointless. If you're part of the BJP IT cell, you've successfully wasted my time, but you gotta do what you have to for the money right? So no hard feelings there. If not though, reflect on yourself.

Of course you'll have to look at more sources, but you can't tell me that you've done no research about this on your own. Do proper research, or was that not taught to you in school? Start from wikipedia references section.
@Kitu94kal@ambedkariteIND No not bullshit in any way. Look it up yourself, but I'll give you a start, over 90% of all corpo boards are dominant caste, and even in government jobs, OBC and SC/ST only have proportional/overrepresentation in sanitation work not in high income jobs (links in next comment):
@Kitu94kal@ambedkariteIND But again, you have not contended with the fact that anyone who graduates from university is held to the same standards as even GC people. In other words, if they graduate university, they are likely as qualified as a GC person.
@Kitu94kal@ambedkariteIND 3/3Even middle class OBCs and SC/STs are frequently denied work opportunities based on caste. I've reiterated the same things and you've addressed none of what I've said. Is the fact that systemic barriers exist and I think programs to address them should exist not sensible?
@Kitu94kal@ambedkariteIND 2/This is not even close to free food when despite being 70-80% of the country, OBCs and SC/STs are still underrepresented points to caste based systemic barriers. Reservations are representation not economic upliftment.
@Kitu94kal@ambedkariteIND 3/3 It's understandable to feel resentment towards the system for the competition, but that anger should be towards the government for not building the infrastructure and not the most marginalized members of society for taking opportunities. They're real people with real lives.
@Kitu94kal@ambedkariteIND 2/The reason the competition is so dire is because there aren't even enough colleges in the first place, and because the poorest and richest of each group compete for the same seats.
@akshaypenn@TyrantOppressor The protesters were already the most privileged sections of the youth. They were already casteist, they're just angry that BJP isn't as efficient at ensuring the unfair advantages that they've enjoyed their entire lives. Still, it's not all bad, this shows that dissent's possible
@nischoomaaf@omarali50@MaitreyaBhakal Because it is less prominent in other religions though it is still there. If even conversion won't save them, then the reservation argument is even stronger😭.
Listen, until and unless you stop making my points for me, I've won, and there's no point in debating you anymore.

@nischoomaaf@omarali50@MaitreyaBhakal Which makes the case for reservations stronger. Even Hindu Dalits can't even touch the water pot without being beaten to death, meaning that the experience of the caste is similar across religions, meaning that muslim Dalits need reservations too. You keep making my point for me.
@Kitu94kal@ambedkariteIND 2/2 80% of doctors are in private sector where reservations don't even apply, so do you not feel bad denying even basic opportunities to people who make up the majority of the country?
@Kitu94kal@ambedkariteIND 1/Have you not been reading what I've been typing? Reservations get them the college seat but to get degree they still have to take the same tests and same classes as GC people, and there is no lower qualification for them in those environments.
