Nondisabled ppl, confidently: what's disability? That's an easy one!
Actually disabled disability experts doing disability-related scholarship, exhaling: what's disability? How much time do you have...
@LaurynH_96 Lauryn this might be the most stressful thing I’ve seen on Twitter this week, and my feed is currently like 70% trans women fighting each other so that’s really saying something
@LaurynH_96 It’s funny that you say that because Diana and I couldn’t find a single working water fountain near our gate at SEATAC last week. Had to get a stupidly expensive smart water so that I could keep my POTS symptoms under control.
@LaurynH_96 Yep I get brain zaps sometimes and I only take birth control, no other medications. They are somehow less tolerable than my typical migraines and I am not a fan!!
@vagina_museum Not as inventive as this technique Pliny mentions in the first century: “There is a type of hairy spider that has a very large head. If you cut this open you will find inside two small worms. If these are tied onto women, wrapped in a strip of deer hide, she will not conceive.”
@kristinnoeline@bufferingcast This root beer float metaphor (from a book about Greek vase paintings) is the only thing that’s ever gotten me to understand entropy!
@LaurynH_96 The linguistics class I’m in right now is super helpful and I’ve had approximately 300% more inspiration about stuff I could study in classics than in any of my classics classes
I've gotten a few questions about it, so I'd like to do a thread: what does it mean when someone describes themselves with a pronoun mix, like she/they?
(Spoiler: this touches on a lot more than just pronouns!)
