Happy Anselm’s Day!
With the global community of @YearInGodsTime we pray that God grants us grace to desire him with our whole hearts; that so desiring we may seek and find him; and so finding may love him; and so loving, may hate those sins from which he has delivered us. Amen.
Prayer is not about what we do, but about what God does. We can pray with anyone about anything, in so many different ways.
I look forward to joining all kinds of people, of any church or faith or no faith background, as we pray around the @dioceseofderby this Saturday.
All are welcome. May God bless our time together, so it opens doors to the faith and hope and love our world needs so much at this time. Find out more: https://t.co/3JAQEXQrOj
We are starting our pilgrimage of prayer with Archbishop Justin with a prayer breakfast for local clergy and ecumenical friends in Worcester. Do come and join us later at Top Church at 10, Pershore Abbey at 12,30 and the Cathedral at 2.15.
“Prayer is not about what we do, but about what God does. Don’t wait until people are Christians to tell them about prayer. Invite people to pray with us and let God sort out any issues.” Brilliant to start the day with a prayer breakfast. On to Dudley now!
Fantastic to see so many people @topchurchdudley where @NikkiGroarke is interviewing @JustinWelby ‘Just start to pray by saying whatever is on your mind at the time’
Pershore Abbey is full for the lunch stop on our pilgrimage of prayer. Himbleton CE Primary have been telling us all about prayer and now the young people are asking Archbishop Justin some questions!
We had an amazing day with Archbishop Justin today and our pilgrimage of prayer around the Cathedral. There are loads more photos over on our Facebook page!
Jigsaw time here again, and this one has been an epic. The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, 1000 pieces, almost a month to complete between us. We are grateful to our friends from the Community of St. Anselm @YearInGodsTime for getting us over the finish line!
We are very blessed this week to have some of the Community of St. Anselm @YearInGodsTime staying with us. We welcome them to Mucknell every year, and it's always so enriching to get to know and to learn from fellow Christians around the world.
In the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Anglican & Catholic Bishops have made a pilgrimage to St Peter’s Basilica in Rome for Anglican Choral Evensong, as part of the ‘Growing Together’ ecumenical summit.
