Weight loss can bring loose skin, stretch marks, and fears of regaining or slipping into old habits. These are normal. Focus on balance, listen to your body, stay active, and remember: becoming stronger is worth it.
I planned a 10K, but the heat and an urgent pit stop at mile 2 changed things. I pivoted: ran a 5K, then did a solid chest and arms workout at home. Not the plan, but still a great workout!

This morning’s storms canceled the 10-mile Crim, so we joined the 5-mile race. After a two-hour delay, hills, humidity, and barely eating, I’m happy with this result. No PR today, but still a solid workout.
I’ll always be proud of what I’ve built these past three years. Prioritizing myself in motherhood made me a better mom. My son will see his mom at her strongest. Never feel guilty for caring for yourself—you’re worth investing in too.
I had a hellish week at work and felt completely burnt out. So I swapped today’s workout for a leisurely 2. 5-mile walk—and it felt great. Sometimes, less intensity is exactly what the body and mind need. Today, I chose to breathe.
