@mirarasol I can help but cry watching it . Not only the story aspect but as an artist too cause little me wouldve not believe that they'll see a story through a lense of being a Filipino along with its culture and spirit and seeing it in a big screen and it just gave me sm hope and pride

when i first learned one of the characters was gonna be a tiyanak i thought it’d be a surprise antagonist cause these creatures are meant to trick you. scarier than a manananggal imo cause you really wouldn’t know at first

Words could not even begin to describe how happy I was seeing Forgotten Islands. After d****y’s halfhearted representation of Southeast Asian culture with Raya — this was a breath of fresh, tropical, hot and humid air.

you guys, the art direction they did with Manang is so fucking crazy 😭 her animation was SO GOOD that i was just giddy every time she came on screen.

and the sound foley for her character ?? GIRL, MY EARS WERE BLESSED!!!! my favorite part about her was literally EVERYTHING she did, the little movements, the animation when her body was literally splitting in half, and especially yung parang may jitter siya when she was trying to detect her wings to find them??? 😭😭😭
