People should read a little history before making claims.
When Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister, the United States and the European Union had imposed unilateral sanctions on Iran and were pressuring countries to stop buying Iranian oil.
At that time, Manmohan Singh clearly stated:
“India will abide by the sanctions mandated by the United Nations, not by unilateral sanctions imposed by any single country.”
In simple terms, India would follow only the sanctions approved by the United Nations, not the unilateral pressure of any particular country.
He also made it clear that Iran was an important source of energy for India and that India would take decisions based on its own national interest and energy security.
Can the so-called ‘Vishwaguru’ make a statement like that today? Please answer
@SStapczynski Is this geopolitical risk price or actual demand going up?
India does not depend on LNG to power its grid. China yes, but it already has domestic capacity.
Thailand, vietnam, japan, korea - these countries could result in increased demand.
🚨🇺🇸 WOMAN SHOT BY ICE WAS PREVIOUSLY MARRIED TO A MAN, HAS 6-YEAR-OLD CHILD NOW ORPHANED AFTER LOSING BOTH PARENTS
The story just got more complicated.
Renee Nicole Good, the 37-year-old shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis today, was previously married to Timmy Ray Macklin Jr., who died in 2023 at age 36.
They had a child together, now 6 years old.
That child has now lost both biological parents.
The boy's grandfather, Timmy Ray Macklin Sr., told the Star Tribune:
"There's nobody else in his life. I'll drive. I'll fly. To come and get my grandchild."
The conflicting narratives:
Her mother, Donna Ganger:
"She was probably terrified. She was not part of anything like that at all," referring to protesters challenging ICE.
DHS: She "weaponized her vehicle" and attempted to "run over law enforcement officers," calling it "domestic terrorism."
What we know:
Good was previously married to a man. Had a child with him.
He died in 2023.
She later lived with a female partner in Minneapolis.
Her Instagram featured pride flags and she/her pronouns.
Tonight, protesters held a vigil chanting "Say her name. Renee Good," invoking the same language used after George Floyd.
Whatever happened in those sixty seconds, a 6-year-old boy lost his mother today, two years after losing his father.

I have spoken with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and our Ambassador in Caracas. The EU is closely monitoring the situation in Venezuela.
The EU has repeatedly stated that Mr Maduro lacks legitimacy and has defended a peaceful transition. Under all circumstances, the principles of international law and the UN Charter must be respected. We call for restraint.
The safety of EU citizens in the country is our top priority.
At its peak, Venezuela crude oil accounted for over 10% of global production. In 2025, it was less than 1%. Actions won't impact beyond increased geopolitical risk pricing, but it does raise an age old question on selective application of international law. Got a chart for that?
CHART OF THE DAY: Venezuelan oil production level over the last 100 years.
What comes next? The oil reserves are still there — but political stability, lots of money, and time are needed to see a revival.
Can china alone save the world?
Cause the western world seems to be killing its RE industry. And would 3% be achievable if battery cost does not fall below $100/MWh?
My latest for Bloomberg: the #PragmaticClimateReset.
Part I: The transition is not dead - in fact it's on track as long as you think like a tortoise, not like a hare.
(Before you ask, Part II will be out over the summer) .

@infopresidencia@petrogustavo You say this but Drummond has been shipping thousands of tonnes of Colombian #coal to #Israel despite your sanction. One just left your Port Drummond yesterday with over 120,000 tonnes of #Colombian coal. Do more.
After abstaining from voting for a ceasefire, he says India calls for one. The Palestinians have really called out the hypocrites!
It's no longer Israel vs Palestine. It's the Hypocrites vs the Palestinians!
