Rey is taking the past as inspiration to help her carve a new path and Kylo is killing the past to force his own path. The movie juxtaposes killing the past and taking guidance from it but still moving on.

Is there any film that had an impact as opposite to the intended one as The Last Jedi? The entire film argues against recycling the same heroes and stories. That new stories must be written. Now, Star Wars will never be new again because the fans hated it.

@ToastyZelda It ends with him dying to give a chance to the next generation. Rey being the last Jedi instead of Luke is the point. If Luke had actually been there to beat Kylo then I would understand your perspective but the whole point of the scene is he isn't really there.

No child should have to grow up wondering whether the next bomb is going to hit their home. No parent should have to wonder whether they can feed their kid or keep them alive. And American taxpayer dollars should not be used to keep fueling that suffering.

Susan Collins has voted again and again to send billions in military aid to Israel throughout this war. She’s part of the same broken Washington system that keeps funding these conflicts while working people here get screwed.

When I get to the United States Senate, I’m going to do everything in my power to stop the killing, get humanitarian aid to the people who need it, and stop writing blank checks for endless wars.
