@cavkingpaul The issue with history videos is once someone sort of makes the 'definitive' video, it's hard to top it. Though you can always go back to the source material and read of course.
I think Operations Room is the only channel I still watch consistently that hasn't gone dormant.
"Where are all the good men" they cried as they went on to podcasts and talked about how they loved the chaos and fear of dating a drug addicted alcoholic who terrified them.
Didn’t even consider that Japan sees us as their peers for defeating them in the biggest and bloodiest war in human history. And because in defeat, we spared them and gave them their country back with relative speed and promised security agreements with them— they feel honor bound to respect us.
And honestly our handling of postwar Japan is probably even better than how we managed Europe.
@LoesbyForIdaho@AuronMacintyre Anecdotally from leaks and my own friends in the industry, this is the case. Producers know the output is bleeding money, but there's no attempt to pivot away.
All the real creative people were forced out over 20-30yrs, so it's just a bureaucracy now until they go insolvent.
@uncledoomer "So we're pushing the timeline on HSR to the right?"
"Yes Governor, budgets tapped for the year because we have to fund Medicare for all state residents regardless of citizenship and pay out LA for the fires"
Repeat ad infinitum
Yes what Walz did was unforgivable, but far more ridiculous is a legal system that cant deport an illegal immigrant because his rape of a child was pardoned by a governor. Surely the illegal status should be sufficient, the rape of a child should simply change the destination of his deportation from his home to hell.
This sow came in close, too close for me to stand up without scaring her.. luckily Tiff was able to grab my 50mm camera for me… tears were about to be shed!
@ArthurReturnss It's disappointing I can't think of a single, genuine American philanthropist today. I can think of plenty who fund all sorts of things, but nobody like Andrew Carnegie or Henry Ford.
Grant’s graciousness to Lee and the other officers is the stuff of legend. When Grant saw Longstreet, an old friend and West Point comrade, on the porch, all he did was offer him a cigar. We live in the ruins of a noble culture.
@BonifaceOption He may be on top of the shitheap, but there's no way he's the mastermind. Once I start seeing "community outreach" and other NGO type people getting arrested, then I'll know we're getting somewhere.
