@obbek1 "CNY" doesn't only erase VNese culture, but also cultures of all countries that celebrate the LNY. It's a part of a bigger plan of assimilation that runs into centuries ago. You only see VNese being vocal bcs Bao's of VNese heritage, but that doesn't mean no where else care.

@The_Artless_ If you think it's not worth getting offended over, think like this: the fact that you and probably the majority of western ppl only knows of "CNY" proved that their spread of lies is working. When the issue is normalized so much you don't think it is an issue anymore.

@obbek1 China had colonized many SEA countries for centuries. They enslaved us and took away our cultures. As I have explained, the term "CNY" is used to claim Chinese owns/invented the lunar calendar. The fact that most ppl from the west only knows "CNY" proved it's working.

@obbek1 "LNY" stands for "Lunar New Year". In Asia, we have a calendar that track phrases of the moon, which isn't something unique to China. LNY marks the starting of a new year according to the lunar calendar and it's celebrated by most Asians, not only Chinese like how "CNY" imply.

@obbek1 To put it simply, what I'm saying is if the issue regrading CNY is as universally recogised as the issue regarding the n-word, meaning more ppl are educated abt why it is offensive, such matter will not be taken so lightly as how Bao' fans are currently react.
