Every pro-AI argument I’ve seen filmmakers make is such bullshit.
“I wanted to bring these photographs to life.” Okay, so hire a VFX artist. You were all making movies before AI. Stop pretending like there’s no other way around this.

you hear stories about how people win the lottery and it ruins their life, destroys their relationships, and ends up leaving them destitute. i want it known that would not happen to me. if i won the lottery id be very happy. it would easily work out well for me.
Amazon Prime is hands down the worst streaming service. Like, “thanks for subscribing, here is a list of movies you need a different subscription for”.
So if I purchase a DVD and digitize it, that’s copyright infringement. But if an AI company buys my book and scans it to train their system, that’s perfectly fine? Once again, corporations are allowed to play by their own rules. I’m so sick of the hypocrisy.
