Some rituals during Hari Gawai are ngajat dance, sword dance (bepencha) or self-defence martial art (bekuntau) performance with a tree of life called ranyai serving as a backdrop.
Selamat Hari Gawai to our Sarawakian friends and have a meaningful merrymaking!
Traditional foods such as the 'hinompot' (rice cooked and wrapped in leaves), and nomsom bambangan (a type of mango pickle) are served during the Harvest Festival (Pesta Kaamatan).

11 alumni have participated in YES Think Tank 2021 throughout the last two weeks and learned about project management, budgeting, innovator's compass and proposal making.
Equipped with the knowledge learned and guided by fellow mentors, they brainstormed and discussed over 3 different projects focusing on cultural awareness, 21st century skills and mold cleaning!
