Due to many atrocities Yazidis have expeienced in August, starting from the Qahtanyah massacre in 2007 on August 14, then the genocide agaimst them by ISIS in August 3rd, 2014 and the Kojo Massacre in August 15, 2014.

Today marks the 10th Anniversary of the Yezidi genocide. More than 2600 women and children still missing. 250,000 people still displaced. 150,000 emigrated to diaspora. More than 3576 survivors still seeking justice. 80% of infrustructure remains destoyed with no compensations.
The remains of 41 Yezidi victims have beenly transported from Baghdad to Sinjar.
After enduring a decade of genocide and witnessing the tragic loss of countless Yezidis, we now witness the arrival of the fourth group of victims' remains to their grieving families.

Yesterday, the 3 of August 2023, Yezidis around the world commemorated the 9th anniversary of the genocide committed against them by ISIS.
After nine years, 324,000 yezidis are still displaced, 2646 still missing, more than 80 mass graves have been discovered.
