EVM Data Mismatch

Two sets of data released by the Poll Body — first on voter turnout or the the absolute number of votes polled on the EVMs and the second on the number of EVM votes counted in each constituency on the result day — has found discrepancies in 538 out of 542 #LokSabha Constituencies.

5,54,598 votes polled by the EVM in 362 constituencies across states were trashed by the ECI as results for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were declared on 4 June.

Additionally, the ECI also registered a surplus of 35,093 EVM votes in 176 constituencies.
