@OverlandAirways You’re such an unreliable airline!! Refunds have been due for over a month and you guys keep saying you’re working on it. If you do not offer a service , you’re supposed to return the funds, why’s it so hard?? . Better rectify this ASAP so this is not escalated!!
See my bro as someone who has lived that life and regretted it I’ll tell you something nobody will tell you. Learning how to love when you’re financially down is one of the best decisions you can make in your life especially if you’re with someone you see as long term cause love goes beyond your ability to provide.
It’s generally how you speak to her, listen to her, how you react to stuff, your attitude towards her, how well you keep your emotions in check. Your change in reaction when you’re down is as a result of you tying your ability to love as your ability to provide and you have to unlearn that.
I get It’s not always easy going from spending on her to not being able to and they don’t understand that your change in reactions isn’t because you’re angry at them but rather you’re angry you can’t do those things anymore. It’s best to start now to decentralize your ability to love as your ability to provide cause it’ll be a huge problem when you get married.
I’ll always say it if a woman leaves you cause you can’t do the things you used to cause of finances then let her go but let your attitude towards her during that period not be the reason she leaves you.
When I was 20, my 24-year-old boyfriend broke up with me because he said he needed to “grind.” I wasn’t billing him, stressing him, or placing any responsibility on him. I genuinely loved him and supported him. He told me he needed to lock in then he ghosted me.
Four years later, he’s 28. I’m not mocking him, and I truly wish him well, but the truth is he isn’t doing better than me. There’s no visible evidence of the grinding he left me for. He’s admitted multiple times that letting me go was the worst decision he made. And honestly, he’ll never find anyone like me again.
I pity you if you leave your genuine babe to grind rubbish.
@Saadabidemi Wow I thought he posted Destiny Etiko throwback on first glance for a birthday celebration or something & I was already saying this is grounds to block a person … 😄
So yesterday, I was at Heirs Insurance Travel Festival. Normally, there was the games part so when it got to this, the MC asked the audience to come and participate. He asked for anyone who could dance, sing or rap to come on stage and do something unique and special with the keyword “Heirs Insurance”
So this random guy boldly with all confidence came on stage, asked for the mic and said everybody keep calm, I’m about to serenade you all. That was when I adjusted my gogu 😁 to see what was about to go down.
I always find it interesting when I travel and people think it’s enabled by excess wealth. My Trips to Amsterdam, Venice, Milan and Athens were a combined cost of a flight from Lagos to Abuja.
I tell you this, as a man:
A man that loves you, will NOT forget your birthday - especially not the first, worse off, the second.
Stop accepting nonsense, in the name of love.
Honestly, life didn’t start making sense until I hit rock bottom at 28.
My 20s? Chaotic is an understatement. I was just winging it , jumping from idea to idea, hoping something would stick. One week I was learning a skill, the next week, na how to japa. Money came in, but the way it disappeared? Like it had Bluetooth, always slipping away.
I was constantly broke, always borrowing. I once even borrowed money to go on a date. The babe ordered a cocktail and ghosted me after. Omo, street harsh.
Then 30 happened. It didn’t come with riches, but it brought clarity. Got tired of the chaos man lol and started being intentional about my peace, my time, my finances, and finally, my passion.
That was when I realized I couldn’t keep moving blindly with money. I needed some structure, a plan even if small. I started tracking my spending and saving more deliberately.
I remembered having a conversation with my sibling, where we decided to open an FCMB account just to save together. On top of that, we locked away a lump sum in a fixed deposit to keep us disciplined and committed.
Those small but intentional financial steps were the foundation I needed because omoeux no nepo advantage to fall back on. I had to Lapo my way through.
Around that time, I went back to my boss where I had learnt photography and videography for five years for freedom if you know, you know. Used my share from our savings to buy a used Canon 7D. That camera became my turning point.
I started with very cheap gigs, then real bookings. Fast forward to now, I run full studio bookings, collaborations, and brand shoots. I built something I’m genuinely proud of, starting from almost nothing.
No shortcuts, no big breaks just grit, growth, and slow, intentional steps. And the moment I started thinking clearly about money, everything else began to align.
If your 20s feel messy or scattered, know this: You’re not behind. You’re just becoming. Be broke, but don’t stay broke mentally, not financially. Start where you are. Your turning point might be closer than you think.
God is saying to me to tell Someone - YOU ARE CURRENTLY FEELING OVERWHELMED. You don’t even know how to voice your feelings . You have cried more than you have spoken .
God said to me to tell you — EL ROI - I SEE YOU . THE CHANGE YOU DESIRE HAS COME !!!
