truly think y'all are dragging it with the animation but

- that choppy look is the result of primarily animating on 3s (while most shows are on 2s)

- streaming ruined everything for cartoons. cable was more profitable, less $ goes in now

- less shows are animated on paper

A teenager used an Ouija board in a high school basement, leading to the only case in European history where police detectives officially signed an incident report confirming paranormal activity.

In 1991, eighteen-year-old Estefanía Gutiérrez Lázaro lived a quiet, ordinary life with her parents and siblings in the Vallecas working-class neighborhood of Madrid, Spain.

One afternoon at school, Estefanía and two classmates smuggled an Ouija board into the basement.
They were attempting to conduct a séance to contact a friend’s boyfriend who had recently died in a motorcycle crash.

Midway through the session, a teacher caught them and tore the cardboard planchette and board in half.

According to witnesses present, a strange wisp of gray smoke rose from the broken board and was inhaled directly by Estefanía.

Over the next six months, the teenager’s life unraveled into a waking nightmare:

She suffered relentless insomnia, sudden violent convulsions, and severe personality shifts.

She repeatedly screamed that faceless, hooded shadow entities were entering her bedroom at night, demanding that she leave with them.

Despite dozens of visits to top Madrid hospitals, doctors could find no neurological damage, poisoning, or physical illness to explain her deteriorating state.

In July 1991, following a massive seizure, Estefanía slipped into a coma and died mysteriously at Gregorio Marañón Hospital. The official autopsy returned an inconclusive verdict: "sudden and suspicious death."

Yet her death didn’t end the terror, it amplified it.

For the next year, the Lázaro apartment turned into a hotbed of inexplicable phenomena: crucifixes spun upside down on the walls, disembodied male laughter echoed through empty corridors, and Estefanía’s framed portrait caught fire, incinerating only her face while the frame and glass remained untouched.

Then came the freezing night of November 27, 1992.

Terrified out of their minds, the family fled into the pouring rain and dialed the National Police.

Chief Inspector José Negri and a team of armed detectives arrived at the apartment expecting an intruder.

Instead, seasoned law enforcement officers found themselves inside an impossible crime scene:

Heavy wooden wardrobe doors flew open and slammed shut violently on their own right in front of the officers.

Rhythmic, deafening thuds moved across the ceiling and walls where no one was standing.

Inside Estefanía’s old bedroom, a wall-mounted crucifix was ripped off its bolt and found on the floor, leaving deep scratch marks on the plaster.

Officers documented a sudden, unexplainable drop in temperature inside the bathroom that left them visibly shaken and nauseated.

Deeply disturbed, Inspector Negri filed an official police report—the now-famous "Vallecas File".

To this day, it remains one of the few official government police logs in the world that formally records unexplained paranormal activity witnessed directly by uniformed detectives on duty.

The terrifying real-life events became the foundation for Paco Plaza's 2017 Spanish horror film, Verónica.
