Why has the Nigerian Senate become a retirement home for former governors?

After serving for eight years, many governors simply move to the Senate, while others return after leaving office. Nigeria cannot achieve genuine progress by continually recycling the same political class.

We need fresh, competent leaders with new ideas not politicians who treat public office as a lifelong entitlement. It is time to break this cycle and put Nigeria’s development above personal political interests.
