Thrilled to be back in Riyadh to deliver the opening keynote at Saudi Arabia's first-ever #regtechsymposium, on the what, why, & how of regtech: https://t.co/J6Wdop84WA Amazingly, it is already a RegInsight on @CUBEGlobal!
🙏 @CITC_SA for this magnificent opportunity.
The #RegTechSymposium
discuss a range of topics related to regulatory and supervisory roles, as well as the most prominent global practices in the field of regulatory technology.

Have achieved a culinary & cultural milestone… my first homemade jam, featuring gooseberries from the loveliest Cotswold village (Chipping Campden). Definitely more science than art!
Next up: 🍅 chutney.
Just in time for #tbt, the recording of my opening address at #GRTS is now on @CUBEGlobal's website: https://t.co/znKrKjFF0r
This was at once my vision statement for #AI & #NLP in regtech & a literal definition of 'keynote'... as I begin & end with a Police-inspired song. 🎶😁
I lived in Oxford for 7 years and never knew about @ByBrookOx despite walking past it about 598,324 times. From abandoned allotment to ecological haven... what a hidden gem! I've never before been so up close & personal with a comma butterfly. 😍
I am deeply honoured to be representing @CUBEGlobal in 2 keynotes at #GRTS21—the opening panel will be the perfect springboard into my talk on #AI in regtech.
This is also my 1st in-person conference since the arrival of COVID!😮🙊

@rome_viharo@acroll@JustJamieJoyce I think we should have a synchronous conversation. Communication science has been measurable for a long time... what has changed is our awareness of it, and methods of measurement. :)
It's been just over a year since one of the most resonant conversations I've ever had with someone I'd never met: https://t.co/p8j1Gdit5D
And it was not only recorded, but also transcribed & summarised by the inimitable @acroll.
@JustJamieJoyce, I'm glad we're still in touch!
I'm excited to be delivering a keynote at Regtech Webinar Africa tomorrow: https://t.co/b4DsF7mtER
I'll be painting the landscape of AI in regtech today, with a glimpse of tomorrow (so both Impressionism & Cubism will be involved).
Oh, and I've made a song for the occasion.
Hiring for one of the most in-demand skillsets (data science/ML/NLP engineering) is the perfect use case for #communicationscience.
Because recruitment is broken. Disempowering, disengaging. Square pegs, round holes.
This is part 1 of my solution: https://t.co/3CB3l3kSYZ
I learned *so* much about communication from @JulesSciAni, Bertie, & Margot earlier this month. Talking to 👨 is one level. Talking to 🐴 is more next level than the most mature Pokémon. #horsingaround#cotswolds#communicationscience
I have never before written a social media post about a #newjob... never mind an entire article.
But this is Quite a Story, and like all good stories, it begs to be told.
Goodbye, #fintech. Hello, #regtech.

I have been heels-over-head Obsessed with red hair since I was born. Red-haired heroines deeply resonate with me: Ariel, Pippi Longstocking, Anne of Green Gables, Princess Merida...
And now, thanks to #WellaMagma & Emma from @DefineSalon, my childhood wish has come true! 🥰
@sarah4bridgend@oiioxford Predictive algorithms are on the rise, yes. And they will continue to be. But it's all about context. The more narrow & nuanced the application, the better. This reduces bias & is also better for the environment. One example of a narrow & nuanced context: 🪥🦷
@sarah4bridgend It was, in a sense, less prediction & more wishful thinking—I was surrounded by data ethicists at @oiioxford. We are horrific at making predictions. If someone had proposed a piece for Wired World in 2020 on the end of social life as we know it, they would have been shut down. 😉
In 2019 I wrote a piece for @WiredUK about personalisation going too far. Yes, it was wishful thinking. But my prediction is finally coming true, a year later: https://t.co/CC9zJqoi15 Especially where content is concerned, customisation will rise.
