@ThomasFoolery96 @sainimatic It's equivalent to the item that was paid for, they don't have a brand new SSD purchased today, they have a used broken one ordered years ago. The court is never going to order that a refund needs to be current market value.
His only case is against the rigor of their methods.

Generally, a repair/ replace rather than full refund protects the company rather than the consumer. Paying out in full is a last resort and you can't really argue it isn't proper compensation.
