I've been lucky enough in the past decade to have more than a dozen pull quotes pop up here & there. Yet this one for the DEATHSTALKER remake that made my day. This film put a big dumb giddy smile on my face the whole way through, and I needed that in this tumultuous & bad year

@YoAdrianTorres on when horror got religion in Gregory Widen’s horror tale of angelic war.

THE ADDICTION is a movie that's long stayed in my head, even though I've only watched it a couple times. The flow of the dense dialogue, the lighting and b&w photography, Lili Taylor just crushing it, how Walken says "nothing", the repeated power dynamics. One of Ferrara's best.

KC Film Fans:
This is something that Film lovers throughout KC need to rise up & help happen. Currently in Kansas City there is no place to see 35mm (or 70mm) & so Screenland Armour is trying to rectify that, but they need your help to make it happen!

Almost 1K words on Godzilla vs. Biollante and while I mentioned ESP playing a part, I forgot to mention the insane scene where a group of PSYCHIC CHILDREN all had the same dream of Godzilla's return & drew pictures of it (I LOVE THIS MOVIE):

My wife told me since it was my birthday to choose a movie she'd never seen before. I decided upon a classic I hadn't revisited in a few years & would serve as a good distraction from thoughts of getting older.

Why do I enjoy Panic Fest being in Kansas City? Because not only do you get to see FREAKY TALES with a sold out crowd on the big screen, you also get Joe Lynch hosting a Q&A with directors Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden.
Look. Anyone can do whatever the hell they want with their money. But for $320 million, you could literally fund 320 different $1 million movies from the next generation of filmmakers and discover new talents you can foster and work with for decades to come.
