Hi Friends, about a year ago I decided to take a break from posting on social media and am making a slow return. It was one of my busiest years in academia. Stay tuned for some updates. How's this site doing these days?
And for the record, I do like some of J.A. Romero's music. I grew up around his earlier music. I like this recent single of his: https://t.co/1GmXuJvvfP
This is a trip. Latino evangelical worship leader Jesus Adrian Romero is introduced to an audience by Alexa (Amazon AI). He then engages her in banter about the blurred boundaries between the presence of God and the presence of AI (Alexa). Hmmm.

I'm not here to police the intersections of religion and technology, per se. I am, however, interested in critiquing the corporatization of religion. Maybe that's the bigger story. Here, we see the two stories intertwined.
One of the best takes I've read on the state of Hip Hop. Much to think about in relation to Hip Hop, and masterfully written from a creative standpoint. I'll be coming back to this piece by @JasonAEngland1
@emanuelwos @JasonAEngland1 I'm exploring it from a West Coast Latine perspective. Even there, the resonance across Black American and Latine creatives comes through, especially during the initial arrival phase on the West Coast. East Coast Latines were in the mix, migrating West and translating Hip Hop.
@ProfeMauMagana I remember seeing this tweet and thinking this sounded like an interesting article ... but I never saw the article. lol. Looking forward to reading it.
