Watching a new season of House of the Dragon, and I don't remember how she was in the previous season, but in this one Rhaenyra is such an annoying character... like all she does is whining. She shows herself so weak, how anyone even listens to her. Daemon outperforms her in every possible way
Lol what?!)
I mean, obviously we should assume all data is potentially exposed, but there's a huge difference between expecting a potential leak (where your data may or may not be there and used by someone) and some random dude literally reading everything you write 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏻♀️
It doesn't say here, but turning this off disables chat history, one of the main features, so it basically start works as permanently private chats only🙈
@GeminiApp@Google, wtf is this? Seriously? No other (and much better tbh) models do this. Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea?)
(And obviously losing functionality doesn't affect pricing) I'm genuinely trying to use different models regularly, but this is ridiculous, bye Gemini 👋
There are actually tons of things that could be even slightly updated, which I think would already make the movie significantly better.
Just to name a few that first come to mind:
Literally all the characters are removable—okay, except Supergirl herself, but the rest yes. I mean every one, even the main villain. You can just take them out and it won't change much. Make fewer characters but give them more leverage, responsibility, and motivation so they actually become part of the story.
Or, I think this is the major one—multiple main plot lines. We have a revenge girl story and a saving dog story. But we can't focus on two at once, especially since there's no time to deeply develop either, so it results in having no main line at all. Either could be deep and amazing. For example, the dog one is such an easy and common trope, and honestly hard to fail. Show the dog being strangled, which instantly boosts emotions; show their deep connection and why the dog matters (her last link to her world, an emotional anchor after losing her mother); add a couple of story-breaking moments (e.g., the antidote breaks or she doesn't reach it in time). Done—we have a deep emotional story of a girl who lost everything and is now losing the last thing in her world, so she says "fuck it all." It's cliché and easy, but it works. Not like what we got: a couple of random scenes playing ball with the dog and no danger to it throughout the movie.
Another line could work perfectly too. Like she finds this girl who lost everything, sees herself in her, decides to help her, but actually helps herself through it and learns acceptance. Another cliché, but there's a reason they exist—they work.
The whole movie is like that. You can pick any detail, and it's okay on its own with potential, but they do nothing with it, so it ends up an empty vessel not bound to the story.
Very disappointed 😞
I was actually very excited about the #Supergirl movie. After seeing her cameo in Superman, I was sold and wanted a full movie about her. It was the second cinema movie I waited for this year after Dune. After seeing brief criticism that it was a road movie, I was even more into it—this was exactly what I wanted.
But unfortunately, they didn't deliver. 😞
It is not a complete disaster (e.g., like the last Mission Impossible or Fantastic Four) but it is not good. The additional problem is that it could easily have been good. 😭
All the individual ingredients are fine—they're not great but okay. How they blend together is the major problem. I don't know how it works under the hood, but it looks like purely the director's fault (or maybe the director and writers). Shame on them for ruining a movie that could easily have been one of my favs
@altryne@addyosmani Wait wat
Wicked, in my mind he blended with Google 😅
Anyhow, interesting where we will see him next (and don't tell me he is going to anthropic 🤣)
Your are exactly right, and these are exact reasons I don't want to see whole this list in the Riot MMO :D
We don't need another wow copycat (and I'm not even speaking about that mmo never was and never will be esport :d so even if it could have some mythic/gladiator content it never should be designed around it)
Oh my god 😅cinema critics are so full of shit 🤣
Looks like literally the only things they do are - rage bate, payed reviews or try tp surf the hype train for extra likes (like too new/to nostalgia, not enough women/to many women etc), and the most funny thing, they most of the time they are so outdated of these trends 🤣
All jokes aside, there must be some big business cinema money involved, otherwise I can't see any reasons how they got anything payed for what they call the "job".. like seriously 2 years old gpt doing this "work" better 🤣
Watched The Mandalorian and Grogu, and this is exactly (or almost) what I would expect from this movie, love it!
While it has its own flaws, but it is generally no matter. The props, the set, aesthetic, homage to the originals, small details is where its shine and its amazing
With AI the coding become, I would say less stressful, in some ways more interesting, I guess kinda more high level...
But also it become sorta compulsive 😅
@cursor_ai@poteto Jeez this is massive 😀
Just a couple of days ago I stepped aways from cAgents exactly because of this limitation, will give it a try again
@vaaselene For Google infra, as a secondary for research tasks (and i mean not science research but like find me best cafes or what is the market state at the moment kinda bullshit 🤣), sometimes trying for coding, but not in my permanent flow
