One of my friend’s mother is a radiologist. Was working with the same corporate hospital for the last 10ish years(full time), asked for a raise, they told her about the fresh radiology hires who were willing to work for much less pay, during odd night time hours, with more and better fellowships after their names, willing to cover shifts during public holidays and weekends too, unlike HER.

Thankfully, the friend’s parents had enough money in savings plus were willing to take risks for a new business (father neurosurgeon, mother radiologist). She ended up resigning and opened her own diagnostics centre.
