Watching Nandil receive his law degree at NLSIU Bengaluru this morning brought back so many memories.

I still remember when he first told Riniki and me that he wanted to take a year off to prepare for CLAT. The father in me had a few questions and, admittedly, a few worries too. But he knew what he wanted, believed in himself, and gave it his all. He went on to secure an All India Rank of 40 in CLAT, reminding us both how important it is to trust our children’s choices.

We spend years guiding our children, only to discover just how much they teach us along the way.

Stop using Adani as a convenient scapegoat for Punjab’s drug crisis. Let's confront your allegations with FACTS.

1. Mundra Port drug seizure: In September 2021, the DRI seized approximately 2,988 kg of heroin concealed in a shipment originating from Afghanistan. The drugs were intercepted, not distributed by Adani. The NIA investigation identified an international smuggling network using import companies.

2. A port operator is NOT a customs authority. Adani Ports operates port infrastructure. Customs, DRI and other enforcement agencies are responsible for examining suspicious cargo and investigating smuggling. If drugs are seized at an airport, does that automatically make the airport operator a drug trafficker?

3. Where is your evidence against Adani? The government's 2023 parliamentary reply recorded 27 arrests and four charge sheets or supplementary charge sheets in the Mundra case. It did not establish that Adani Ports was running the trafficking operation.

If you possess evidence implicating Adani, submit it to the NIA or the courts. Political allegations are not criminal convictions.

4. Now answer for Punjab. AAP has governed Punjab since March 2022. Yet drug trafficking and gangster violence remain serious problems. Even your government is reviewing drug hotspots and enforcement measures.

You promised to eliminate the drug menace. Where are the results?

5. Stop confusing infrastructure with criminality. Ports facilitate legitimate trade worth billions. Criminals attempting to misuse that infrastructure must be prosecuted, but ownership of a port is not proof of complicity.

And what do Punjab's waters, Chandigarh, Punjab University and the repealed farm laws have to do with evidence against Adani? Combining unrelated controversies does not strengthen your argument.

Kejriwal, Punjab needs accountability, rehabilitation and effective policing—not another political speech blaming Adani for everything.

Produce evidence, prosecute traffickers and deliver on your promises.
