Last week Monday, I accidentally left my bag in a Bolt. The driver contacted me himself and confirmed that he had my belongings. I have WhatsApp messages as proof of our conversation.

I was out of town at the time, so I asked him if he could deliver my stuff on Thursday, and he agreed. On Thursday morning, I called him again and told him he could deliver the items and that I would send him R350 for his trouble.

A few hours later, he blocked my number.

When I tried calling from a different number, he answered and immediately hung up. Since then, I’ve been unable to reach him.

I reported the matter to Bolt and provided the details, but I was simply told that the driver claims he doesn’t have the items. Somehow his word carries more weight than my proof and our WhatsApp conversation.

I’m heartbroken and angry. Those weren’t just random items to me.💔😡😭
