🇨🇳Japanese TV did a report on marriage in China. I think this applies to other countries too.

Men don't want to get married because they think they can't provide for their wife. Women don't want to get married because men are "low-quality".

As a woman I'm tired of the "low quality men" line. It's a cheap way to dismiss an entire gender instead of just admitting that standards have gotten unrealistically high or that both sides are struggling.

Most men aren't low-quality but treating them like they are is going to really hurt our survival into the future.
