I am actually disgusted by this. Iāve had so many teachers that changed my life and put me in the right path, without them I donāt want to think about where I would be. These teachers are sharing how much money they have in their accounts on the par day. In a society where our teachers are guiding the minds of the future, the people who will be helping us when we are later in life. I donāt think they are appreciated enough nor is the compensation package up to par.
It perplexes me how they they have to spend a crazy amount of money for their education, only to struggle to get by with a smile while still being generous enough to pay for the items our children need without being reimbursed for much of it. I think itās time we create a change, I donāt think itās fair we expect so much of them and they give so much to us only to relieve so little. I know people are going to argue with me and say well they chose to do it so if they arenāt happy with the pay, they can get another job.
While thatās true, we would be in bad shape however if they ever chose to do that. Who would be teaching our kids and preparing them for the future. I think we focus too much on things that arenāt and shouldnāt be our priority while neglecting and overlooking a major issue right below our noses. Their jobs are important and our kids would fail without them so why are we treating them like they arenāt important? Itās because itās easy for us to think of them as our babysitters for half the day. We treat them like Nannieās who only watch our kids while we go to work and do things we enjoy. Maybe itās time we revisit our roles in helping them achieve our goals.
Today is a day to appreciate the women who gave us life, raised us through struggle and sacrifices, prayed for us privately, and loved us even when we were difficult to love.
Happy Motherās Day to EVERY good mother out there, biological mothers, adoptive mothers, grandmothers, single mothers, and women who stepped into the role when they didnāt have to ā¤ļø
