@leesawatego@teqld@TheQTIC@TAFEQld @DiFarmerMP With 2021 Qld’s Year of Indigenous tourism I’m really keen to hear what we can do to support Indigenous businesses across the sector.
I'm really passionate about consumer laws. For small business owners, it's really important to know both your obligations and your rights. A key challenge for small businesses at this time of year is the post-Christmas returns!
Legally, you only need to agree to take returns if there is a "major problem" with the product. If the customer has just changed their mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided they don't like it anymore, or have no use for it - you have no legal obligation for a refund.
I'm also lucky to be able to collaborate with great businesses including @iscariotmedia that helps me bring the programs to life!
I'm looking forward to at least a week's break and then back into it in early January! 😊

2020 was a challenging year for everyone including small businesses, but it may have been my most rewarding. I have been very lucky to have work. But I measure my success by the impact I can have on the businesses I work with not my income. Their success is my success!
Are you a regional Queensland Indigenous business or do you want to meet Indigenous businesses in your region?
Indigenous businesses from regional Qld are invited to the Solid Business Regional Indigenous Business Expo Series 2020/2021 in Mackay, the Burdekin, and Innisfail.
This is a great opportunity for Indigenous businesses to meet buyers from council, corporate, community organisations and government - with exclusive opportunities for businesses participating in the Solid Business program.
Kicking the year off early on our Creating Tracks program with this awesome workshop on Graphic design - would be great if you could join us!

GC businesses smashed their pitches to Council this morning. A great way to end the Procurement program! Yolla is hoping to work with TAFE & Council again in 2018 to support businesses on the Coast to grow & prosper. #BuildingBetterBusinesses@cityofgoldcoast@TAFEQld
