Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use.
Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.
“The question really isn’t if Judaism is or isn’t about love—an empty sentence in the abstract—but about where to draw the circle of moral concern, and what to do when kindness to the cruel enables cruelty to the kind?” @GadSaad
Someone on reddit built an automated Pigeon defense system for their balcony.
pigeons kept shitting and nesting on his balcony so he built a fully autonomous AI sentry gun to snipe them with water.
here’s how it works:
→ a usb camera spots the pigeon
→ a neural net identifies it in real-time
→ 2 servos aim a water gun
→ fires automatically.
runs on a $50 orange pi 5. zero human input.
100% open source.

I wish more people knew what a powerful idea "intertextuality" is. And it is one of those ideas that AI is incredibly well suited to illuminate. Because intertextuality is quite literally a matter of data analysis.

Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT.
Today, President Donald J. Trump met with freed Israeli Hostages:
"You’re not a hostage anymore…today you’re HEROES."🎗️🇺🇸
It’s worth writing again: These hostages would never have come home were it not for the Trump administration - and for the @POTUS personally -deciding that they would invest not only their attention and time, but the very prestige of the American presidency, in securing a ceasefire in Gaza that would bring the hostages back.
They didn’t just engage; they changed the entire equation. They demanded that all the live hostages be released together, at once, and that this would be the starting point.
It is a remarkable example of statesmanship. From the first days of the war, whenever I spoke with experts, every single one told me the same thing: it’s a noble goal to get them all out in one deal, but Hamas would never agree if the IDF is in Gaza, and actually, probably even if it is not.
Yet the @WhiteHouse threw its full weight behind it. The President did that, held the line, and in doing so expanded the realm of the possible. This is what leadership on a global scale does, at its best.
It is also a reminder of something deeper: the necessity of positive American engagement, of American optimism and resolve, in an increasingly darkning world. Without it, this simply would not have happened.
