Majority of pokemon even in older ashanime was caught via friendship not battle
this time they have too much MCs to maintain so 3 mon is fine

A lot of people misunderstood this post. I wasn’t saying this specific episode was the worst- I was commenting on the series as a whole since the time-skip.

It’s been a slow decline…I’m not just talking about one thing.

It’s the writing, the character growth, how the Pokémon act, the emotional goal or purpose of any of it, which all affect if this is an actually good anime anymore IMO…
And I’ve just been sad to see it, because I loved this series at one point.

Like the show had meaning and stakes and emotions and intrigue… and don’t get me started on things it has changed about the core of Pokémon.

They don’t battle to catch their mons, instead the Pokémon choose the trainers lol.
It’s been years and the characters still only have like 3 pokemon each, that are almost always out of their balls.
They barely battle in tournaments at all.

Then there’s the focus on the Paldea starters which I’m not a big fan of soooo add all that up and you get this post😂

I still want it to be good again and I’m hoping for it to turn around!
